Employer paying below minimum wage (UK, Scotland)

Hi everyone! Writing this post to seek some advice 🙂 I’m a 21yo part-time restaurant server and I’ve had some issues at work recently. Besides continuous verbal harassment from my manager, I noticed that the company has not updated the minimum wage on my payrolls starting from April 1st. Hi everyone!
Writing this post to seek some advice 🙂
I’m a 21yo part-time restaurant server and I’ve had some issues at work recently.
Besides continuous verbal harassment from my manager, I noticed that the company has not updated the minimum wage on my payrolls starting from April 1st.
They should be paying me 9.18 but they are still paying 8.91. I know it’s not much, but bills are increasing and I want to get what I am fully entitled to get.
I’ve spoken to the manager, telling her that I would stop working unless I got paid the legal amount and she said she’s going to “speak to the management upstairs and see what they say”.

Another colleague of mine asked about it, and she brushed it off…

So what would you suggest to do?
I have a shift tomorrow at 12 but for the moment, I think I will message the manager and say I will not show up unless I have written confirmation that my hourly rate is up to the current legal minimum.

Thanks!
