I worked for a cable company for a few months and a cable Technician. I found a better opportunity and moved to a new job that pays more in a different field.
My former employer is saying when I turned over my work truck and company owned tools that some tools were missing. I know for a fact most of these tools were not missing but one or two of them I may have lost. The employer is refusing to give me my last two checks and making deductions for the tools from them before mailing them to me. I live/worked in Pennsylvania. Is this legal? Do I have any recourse? I don't remember signing any documents saying I agreed to pay for lost tools before my employment and certainly did not sign anything of that nature during my employment.
Any advice on what I could do would be greatly appreciated.
