Employers got spoiled in the past decades when we needed to compete for scarce jobs. They got used to be able to ignore the employees and pay as little as possible.
Suddenly, with COVID and the baby boom retirement, potential workers are scarce and they are just not getting that concept as they are stuck in the job scarcity mentality.
It’s going to be a long road for employers to get used to the fact that they will have to share more of their revenue with the workers. And o don’t feel sorry about it. It is about time.
