I worked here shortly after a lovely place called mallwart. August 2018 to November 2019. The hell that I endured for the near entire time I worked there is heinous and unfair. I hope to tell someone from gpm reads this, because you broke the law and got away with it

Their main brag was, and still is I believe, is a high hiring rate, the high turnover rate keeps this true.
My pay as of my firing was $8.65
Shortly after my hiring came training. Fortunately, I was training overnight with a young woman, as the septic tank was full and the bathrooms were out of order er, and we had to walk a half mile into the park to use the toilet all night, thank my stars it was fixed before I took over nights.
Shortly after the septic tank was fixed, we became short staffed. From early november to nearly mid december, worked 28 days without a day off.
8 hour shifts overnight at a 24/7 gas station every single day, 56 hour weeks, this was not in any form of agreement that I was to not recieve a day off in excess of 10 consecutive days of work (please correct me if I'm wrong)
Petty write up after petty write up. Was written up for “blatant underperformance” after not fully stocking the Gatorade one night, after receiving news that my late grandfather had a stroke at work (at the other Ezmart in my city) and yes, he died as a result of this stroke.
Several other times I was written up for that performance shit because I didnt get done what none of the other fucking coworkers wanted to do. At least I was fucking doing it.
Lied to for 5 MONTHS about my yearly raise. Repeated training, over and over, once a month we had to watch the same training videos over the same shit, and print off a completion quiz.
Broken ac which led to a hernia I had to work through, NEVER GOT A WORKERS COMP FORM, AS THEY WERE HIDDEN FROM EMPLOYEES APPARENTLY, NOWHERE IN OFFICE. Hr doesnt seem to fucking exist when I was reporting my shift lead for the retaliatory write ups.
Not only this but I was fired for bitching about my pay until something was done, WHOLE beginning pandemic of horse shit to boot for $8.65 hourly. Then my unemployment was denied, and I appealed it and they denied it on grounds I “Violated company policy which lead to termination” which was me using colorful language as to why I needed a raise to afford my depression meds the job got me hooked on to put up with it.
Never fucking work for a single one of their 50 fucking goddamn companies. 14 million in profit pre pandemic and I was making $8.65 to get threatened by a kid for not selling him blunt wrappers. Fuck you Gpm Investments, and Fuck you Ez Mart Granbury Tx,
