So I work in care with people with learning needs. I love my job. We've had a client in hospital, I collected them on Monday when they were discharged. They have come home with a chest infection despite my efforts to get nursing staff to listen to their chest because they were coughing heavily. My boss is now blaming me for it when another staff member had 6 hours yesterday to contact the doctor (as well as the entire day on Tuesday). He didn't because he was too busy sitting with his feet up playing on his phone. He said client hadn't been coughing all day. Miraculously as soon as I walked in the door client started coughing. Client hadn't been washed, repositioned or changed (they are currently bed bound while they recover).
But according to my boss it's all my fault. I'm furious. If boss starts having a go at me I am going to quit on the spot. I've had enough of being exploited and blamed, as well as being harassed and treated like a moron for minimum wage. If I have to go through a few weeks of worse poverty, so be it.
