So me and my coworker who have each have over 22 years with the company and more seniority then all but 2 people out of 25. Were told we have to leave our offices that, after 8 separate moves finally are nice and functional by operations, and have to move to the two offices that no one on the admin side want. We were not given any options of picking one of the 6 offices but told we have to take these 2. While we fill disrespected we have no choice on moving, but here is the bad part.
The one office is maybe 7×7 was a storage closet, they use for a desk and floating people, the roof has leaked causing drop down ceiling to collapse at lest 30 times over the past decade, along with the walls and carpeting being soaked thru, lord knows what is rotted out or mold infested on the inside of walls, this is where my coworker has been told to go.
I was told to move back to the office I had 10 years ago, that was flooded, the walls were soaked 2 foot up from ground. While I was in that office I was experiencing major respiratory issues. I have severe asthma and allergies, every 6 weeks I would have to go on sterilizes and various other meds to help breathing including a nebulizer machine.
We both need work have families and jobs in area we would have to take almost a 10k pay cut.
Management is aware of our concerns and the history of those offices but blew it off, saying we gonna do a deep clean, which in the past is rent a carpet cleaner.
What can we do.
