I don't feel as though I'm getting paid as much as I should, but I have a lot of anxiety and self doubt so I would like your opinion before demanding a raise.
I have a certificate in fashion design. Nothing fancy, but I've worked for a large, but independent fabric store for about 10 years. Aside from the owners and their “computer guy” I know how to do more than anyone, and I do more than the managers. I'm not a manager myself, as I am better at focusing on my own work.
Some of my responsibilities include: shopify admin, taking photos of products for website, social media, receiving shipments, meeting with sales reps & assisting with purchasing, inventory, visual merchandising, customer service, supervising floor staff, and more. I have better knowledge of stock than most staff, am always on time, and take less time off than I should.
I am currently very frustrated after being told a staff member of 15 years couldn't mark down some product because they don't know the stock well enough to find it all. So many little tasks get put on my because my coworkers can't manage to do them.
I make $23.50. The starting wage for a basic customer service person is $19.50.
How much do you think I am worth? (Sorry if this is not the appropriate place for this)
