Final got out after too many times of being asked to ‘make the best of it’ now what?

I finally left the job that the stress of it was gonna kill me this past month. The part that got me was I always told that I could talk to management if I had issues and they'd do what they could. But they didn't have any authority to actually do anything and would always say I agree with you but I can't do anything we just 'have to make the best of it'. I have some savings so I will be ok for a little while but I know that I'll have to find someway to make money. Additionally my parents are ailing in their old age and are to the point where I know I'll need to make monthly trips to help them out. My question out there is where/what searches I actually do to look for reasonable jobs. I'm looking for something part time and remote so I can take care of them without worrying that I'll bring something home. I've done some work in retail, education, and county work.
