I choose me guys. I cant keep traveling with my job that keeps me away for almost 1-2 weeks at a time. Let alone go on 2-3 work trips a month! Im the newest guy at my job (1 year 4months) still making minimum wage ($14hr) yet our supervisor refuses to go on any work trips because he wants to be able to go home every night EVEN THOUGH HE LIVES ALONE. Good for him to play the company on his part but i refuse when i have a family and pets. After a trip i come home exhausted because we drive anywhere from Northern California to as far as Texas. Im tired of my boss constantly wanting me to work on my days off like i wasnt just away from my family from a week long trip. I had agreed to travel but not when i only get 2-3 days of rest then they tell me im going on another trip. We are short staffed with literally myself and another worker who go out and install our product. All this time and no work about me getting a raise and when i mentioned it it was just dismissed. So for all the stress and dealing with a company who would rather exploit my hard work and loyalty i have just decided to leave without words being said. They still text and call seeing if i would come in but nothing asking how i am or how i am doing. I currently got hired to a new job and im waiting to start my first day! Know your worth people dont let these small companies confuse your availability with their needs for work. YOU NEED TIME FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY!
