But I joined this bubble tea shop last year, been working there for 9 months, everyone was amazing, pay was shit but oh well

When I started we just got off covid, soo it was stressfull but tolerable, crew was social, we all hanged out outside work, it was fine

Then we reached february-march, our collegue with 7 years exprience quit, the replacement was 3 people that didn't work as hard and couldnt be even bother to learn

As the heat started we started getting soo many customers

We usually serve 40-50 people an hour, but when its hot we can serve 80-100 people per hour

And let me tell you, bubble tea customers can be the sweetest or the most horrible people in the world, I had a customer try to fight me over a straw and a bag, in my first week I had racist customers telling me horrible comments because I had an accent.

Bare in mind its only 4 people working in the whole shop, my boss was making 20k a month in profits while we struggle to pay bills getting 8 an hour

Some of them were students but we all did the same job, soo some would get 8 while me and another colleague were getting 9 an hour and no tips, no food, but all the bubble tea we wanted

As soon as we started getting soo many clients everyone started quitting, may was 2 people, june 4 people, and july 4 people including me

My boss offered me a 50 cent raise but it would have to take me a lot more to conssider that. The week I was leaving we all left at the same time, and my boss had to take 20 interviews in 3 days

I feel bad for him, since he was never toxic or anything and was nice but godamn my mental health is better, not crying because we would take 1 hour to clean the shop after closing

//rant over, happy to answer any questions regarding bubble tea and this work
