I guess I just need to vent. I teach swimming for a private “company” my boss wanted to start doing a surf summer camp and wanted me to be a “partner” in the venture. I sat down with him several times months before hand to plan it and work in a brochure, advertisement, etc. He wasn't serious about working so we got nothing done. He wouldn't plan the date bc he was basing it on when it was convenient for the clients. I needed a months notice so I could make arrangements for my son. He told me the last week of July but not specific dates so I ended up having to take my 4 year old. He didn't do any advertising and just barely managed to talk a few of our current swim clients into enrolling their kids. So we had 3 kids total . We had both expressed wanting to include healthy food for the camp. I offered to cook but he said no need then a couple days before we come down he tells me I'm cooking. He owns two apartments by the beach where we did the camp. So since we had three boys they just stayed in one of the apartments. He was down there the whole week before I brought the kids down and prepared nothing then we we get there he's like “oh I've been rushing around getting things ready since 5am” poor you/s he got no food! So the actual camp went like this. Oh I forgot to mention he sent me the itinerary the week before. I was in charge of “ocean swim” ok now it's my job to come up with whatever the fuck that is. It's very hot and humid where we are so we ended up having to scrap most of the activities as the kids got too tired so the actual camp went like this. I cook breakfast and take the kids for ocean swim. My boss takes off to buy us lunch and takes two hours to get back and only coming back with super market lunch boxes. Pinnacle of healthy/s one of those days he forgot to get anything for my son to eat for lunch. I'm busy trying to make this half ass summer camp something good so I can't really be going and getting food for myself or my son. Then he takes the kids surfing for an hour and leaves them to me for me to cook dinner while he takes off to go surf by himself. Two of the kids ended up getting sick(corona) and the camp finished early. I didn't do anything the last day bc I was exhausted and on the verge of getting sick and since the kids were sick what could I do!? He told my husband when he came to pick us up that I didn't work! Also my whole family got corona too. I lost my shit on him and yelled at him for this pathetic excuse of a camp and blocked him for a week bc I was so pissed. I finally reached out to see what we are going to do bc I had half a mind not to work for him anymore. Well he fired me. Fucker
