Fired for “Discussing Salary”

Found out a supervisor was making $11/hour and showed them their job being advertised for $14 – $18/hour. I also refused to be supervisor myself unless I was making $15 at least. I now suddenly have time to go to my dear friends’ destination wedding, and I’ve always been so busy working I’ve never actually been on a week long vacation like this in years so I’m stoked. You are more than your labor, don’t let them push you around.

(Note: as a part-time county employee, my labor rights were not covered by the NLRB or my local state agency. I do not find it worth the time or energy to find a lawyer when moving on feels so much better for my mental health and career)
