My friend and I worked at the same shitty company- I think he was there for maybe 6 months. He's a great guy and super knowledgeable, but our company is notorious for hiring contractors indefinitely and never bringing them on full time. My friend finally found another company in the area that agreed to bring him on full time with benefits and a higher pay. He put in his two weeks and started at the new place Monday. He did two days of online training and then was fired out of the blue on Thursday for “lack of enthusiasm”.
I'm so fucking mad, what kind of company let's someone give up their lively hood just to change their mind in less than a week? It's also not like he wasn't jazzed, he was sending our work chat pics of the new place talking about how nice it was.
