This has never happened to me, so I guess I’m still in shock.
To backtrack, I started working for a company in February through a temp agency. They made it very clear that they were looking to hire on, and said if I did well there was a very good chance I’d be hired on. I did my best to meet the standards they set, and tried to cultivate a reputation as someone who was always looking to learn more and to grow more. Yesterday, out of the clear blue sky, with absolutely no warning, my lady from the temp agency texts me, and says that they (the business) ended my assignment. Just like that, it’s over.
I’ve never been fired before, and I think I’m still processing it. But I’m angry too, because they’re allowed to fire me at the drop of a hat, but if I quit with no notice, then I’m unprofessional. It’s just a lot to take in right now.
