My company is about to enter contract negations in May and I’m a relative newbie to the place but will be one of the negotiators for my fellow employees. I have never been in this type of situation before but see it as an opportunity to fight for every employee not just for myself or the people who have been there 35 plus years. My main focus right now are getting everyone a liveable wage that reflects the rise in cost of living and reversing a previous contract that reduced sick days from 12 to 4.
I would very much appreciate any advice or insight from anyone who has experience with this and also any input on what I should fight for on behalf of my coworkers
Thank you
