Flip the script: Employers, if a job doesn’t pay enough for a person to at least support themselves, who is paying for the rest of their support to subsidize your business and how do you justify that?

oh min wage is just for kids learning, ok, so you admit that those kids parents are making your business possible to exist by providing them enough support that your wages don't matter. ok fine. now, any adult, my son is 19 who should be subsidizing his existence? at what point would you consider his 40 hours of labor enough that he at least deserves to support himself? how many of your employees could? how many could support a family on one income? I think companies need to actually answer these questions because the answers have changed, where I work now there are hundreds of employees, I bet 5 of them could support a family on their own and I'm not one of them.
