Flip the script on the interviewer

I'm looking for a tune-up interview, so I'm comfortable interviewing for jobs that I want. I applied to a job posting I expected to be desperate. They called within 15 minutes wanting to schedule an interview this afternoon. Obviously, I'm interviewing them because with that response timeline I'm probably already penciled into next week's schedule (in their minds). I'm working on my interview script: Help me by adding questions that us selfish-entitled-antiwork punks should be asking. Here's what I have so far: Why is this position available? It appears that [XXXXXXX] is urgently hiring – would you consider this establishment to be understaffed? What are the main reasons that employees stay at [XXXXXXX]? What is the main reason they leave? What is your ideal staffing par? What is your current staffing par? [ASSUMING SHORTAGE] That is the company’s problem; I understand you work here, too; so, what do you…

I'm working on my interview script: Help me by adding questions that us selfish-entitled-antiwork punks should be asking.

Here's what I have so far:

Why is this position available?

It appears that [XXXXXXX] is urgently hiring – would you consider this establishment to be understaffed?

What are the main reasons that employees stay at [XXXXXXX]?

What is the main reason they leave?

What is your ideal staffing par?

What is your current staffing par?

[ASSUMING SHORTAGE] That is the company’s problem; I understand you work here, too; so, what do you personally feel is the root cause of the company’s staffing shortage?

[ASSUMING SHORTAGE] What are you doing, as a manager, to resolve this issue? Do you believe that you have the resources to resolve your shortage; or do you believe that you need more resources from your superiors?

What does a good day look like? What does a bad day look like?

When was the last time you promoted someone from within your team?

What is a company policy that you personally disagree with?

Are you comfortable vocalizing your concerns with policy and procedure with your immediate supervisor?

Are you comfortable with managing the concerns of your subordinates?

How is criticism and feedback handled within this team?

When company policy negatively impacts performance at the ground level, what is your response as a manager whose subordinates are unable to meet performance expectations due to artificial corporate policy barriers?

Pay rate? Benefits? PTO? Discounts?

Is there anything about my application that makes you doubt my qualifications?
