WHY. Why do you need at least 12 months employment somewhere to be eligible for FMLA? How can you predict when you will need such support? I keep wishing that I misunderstood the requirements, but no, looks like my 9 months of current employment are not good enough. Aside from using scarce PTO, is there any other solution for a personal illness that needs recuperation and is medically documented?
