Hi, for those wondering im the guy who had to close deli at vons alone with no training. See post for context.
A lot of people wanted a follow up post so here we are: not a bad ending or a good ending. Neutral ending.
I requested transfer and managed to get it so now im at the front as a courtesy clerk. I had to stick with deli for a few days and was miserable but just had my first CC shift today and honestly its a lil overwhelming but its way better. I actually got trained believe it or not. I know a lot of people said I should leave but… well I have no excuse. Maybe I was too scared to quit? I dunno, its only my second job. I resolved to just try a little longer. If this CC work continues to be shit I honestly will just call it quits with vons there.
Also, juicy tidbit; While getting Courtesy Clerk training the supervisor doing that training discovered that the idiot in charge of my deli “training” didnt even run me through the right programs on the computer. Go figure. Feels like Deli is just really badly managed.
