Tonight was my first night trying to make ends meet through a popular food delivery app. I had someone cancel and was shocked to not receive any pay.
The app also often dragged me out of my “designated area” and didn't tell me ahead of time NOR pay more for these deliveries.
If not for tips tonight would have been an absolute wash. I understand that this industry relies on people to actually not want to go out for their restaurant food, but a little respect from the company would have been nice. There wasnt even some to lure you into a false sense of security lol!
Unfortunately I will have to keep doing this for the foreseeable future. If anyone has tips for not going insane please let me know.
