I recently had COVID. I isolated at home for 5 days per the CDC and policy for my work. I returned on day 6 (day 0 was onset of symptoms) and I am being forced drain my PTO bank to cover that. This policy imo is bullshit. I don’t understand how I am required to cover my own leave when it is mandated that I stay home for COVID. The best part is I work for a hospital. Any advice on this if I can fight it? This seems so unreasonable.
Even better my boss told me that I need to manage my pto better and have a cushion of at least 60 hrs in my bank just in case stuff like this happens. How is that okay for them to shame me for not having enough pto for an illness in which I am forced to stay home from work?!
