I had several pleasant interviews with this company. Every step along the way they asked about salary requirements and each time I told them I needed to be at a certain number and they said no problem. In the final interview they made a verbal offer at the number I requested. I told them thanks and I would review the written offer, benefits, etc when they sent them. The next day the written offer was presented to me, and sure enough it was 10% less than the previously agreed upon number. I called them and said the offer letter showed a number lower than what we discussed in person and said I’d be willing to accept if they changed the offer to the agreed upon salary. The guy I talked to acted like he didn’t know what was going on and said he’d get back to me and they have since ghosted. Whatever.
