I was working on an assignment through a temp agency. When my assignment ended I asked twice about getting a new assignment but nothing was available. I applied for unemployment to tide me over till I find my next job. After contacting my former employer, the unemployment office is under the impression that I quit. I have documentation to prove otherwise, so I'm sorting it out with them directly, but what about the temp agency that lied? Do I have any recourse against them? This has delayed my unemployment benefits for weeks.
