A friend just called me today because he put in his resignation this week. Boss accepted and friend been cleaning his pc of his personal stuff. He said he sent tax returns and old Tax docs from his pc to personal email. Boss called him to let him know that security flagged his emails. Then she told him to just turn over his pc and badge to the office. He did those right away.
A&C made him sign a doc confirming he deleted the emails with confidential data.
HR still allowed his boss to call him next week to obtain transition info even though he has no work stuff anymore.
He’s really upset and he’s scared he’s deemed non-rehirable. Personally, I don’t think it’s a big deal. How’d he know if they blocked him for rehire?
