I f****** hate my new job. I’m a cashier for a restaurant and bruh.. the way these people are allowed to treat me so that I can pay my bills is DISGUSTING. I’m not even allowed a break during my 8hr shift (not even to go outside a minute) and for my great state, that’s legal!
It was my first day today and I’m already done*.
Some manager from another store in another state came over to help today and he trained me. He would walk off as I took orders and I’d be so nervous. I’d eventually mess up and when I did, I’d ask him for help and he’d look/act so fed up. He kept making jokes about me, (in front of me) to the customers. He would also casually walk off to go sit at a booth in the dining room and work on a laptop.
All and all…. I’ll be back there tomorrow. I gotta pay rent and eat. lmao
*I don’t think FOH is for me (‘: I asked for a BOH position and to work from 9-3. They told me no and immediately gave me 9-5 shifts. I complained, but was threatened to be fired.
