So having a discussion with my mother about labor shortages and people not wanting to work.
She is a c suit executive for a non profit she makes a decent amount of money but still isn't above that half a mil mark maybe still below a quarter of a mill.
She works incredibly hard 60 hours a week some times 80.
Whenever I bring up worker rights or people wanting a livable wage it's the same boomer rhetoric you've all heard before.
I always think it's funny because if your “entry levels” are asking for more while some working as many if not more hours then her a week to make ends meet sticks. Her lifestyle and pay might actually also be impacted for the better.
What are your thoughts anti work 🤔 She clearly isn't top 10% hell maybe even 20% bracket of earnings is our message missed on people like this because they think we want to reduce there quality of life when really I feel like we are more targeting people who have enough money to clearly fix issues we have in our country? The top earners who don't pay taxes you know who they are.
Please don't attack my mother She really does bust her ass for her career and payed her way through college working. She's an incredible human who's been through corporate America and has come out good from it.
