Genuinely confused why I can stay late, but not clock in *too* early?

I get that I work at capitalist non-autistic business that values profit over people. It’s probably cause the higher ups want to make sure that they’re profiting off our labor and will do whatever they can to exploit us to the fullest extent. They only want employees there IF they are profiting from it. Otherwise they’d rather us be understaffed. That’s my guess. My previous jobs have been at places so busy that they can’t ever afford to send us home early unless they’re sick or it’s an emergency. So this practice surprised me. I actually got talked to cause I clocked in six minutes early. Apparently we’re only allowed to clock in up to three minutes before we’re scheduled. I’m autistic. Lots of things that non-autistic people, especially corporate, do, and their rules don’t make sense. Also why do coworkers ask me how I’m doing, and not want to…

Also why do coworkers ask me how I’m doing, and not want to hear how I’m actually doing?

I answered my coworker that “Alright, im tired “. She never seems to be okay with me saying anything other than “I’m good. You?”

Like whenever I ask how someone is doing. It’s cause I actually care and am interested in their life.
