So I've been here almost 8 years, about 3 years ago we were bought out by a corporate entity. I handle some accounts that no one else has the licenses or expertise to manage. It's kind of a side gig for this new company, not at all a part of thier main revenue stream. For 3 years I have been proposing multiple scenarios to increase our revenue and build a strong foundation for moving forward. Every proposal I have been made has been shot down for what can basically be summed up as “your customers aren't a priority”. Nearly a year ago my customer approached me and asked what help they could provide me with starting up my own company. At this point my corporate office has treated then very poorly, thier exact wording was red-headed step child.
Well over the past 8 months or so I have been getting my team, and permits in order. Well yesterday the people I work for found out. After 3 years they magically care what I'm doing, how my customers are and if we can work something out financially for me to stay. When I turned them down it became well sue you, hit you with a cease and desist order. It's all fine, I don't have any concerns at the moment we're ready to be operational in about 2 weeks. It just annoys me that after all this time now we matter. Now there are resources to grow and invest when 3 months ago we were “losing our ass on your customers”
