The company my GF works for did WFH entirely during the worst parts of the pandemic. Recently they've gone to a hybrid model with plans to go back to the office fully later on. One of her co-workers has been working full-time from home and because of this the company gave their desk to someone else working in the office. The company is now demanding that the co-worker come back to the office full-time but refuses to giver her desk back and told them to “Use a desk of someone not working that day.” So they're just supposed to go into the office and hope they'll have a place to work for the day? The co-worker asked if they could take a conference room until a desk became available and the company said no. The company is making this person go to work without a workspace and telling them to figure it out. This just seems utterly ridiculous and my GF is thinking of quitting if this is how they are treating employees.
