So I'm halfway through my mandatory (contractually agreed) 6 week notice period. I was only at the firm for a very short time, so I got a really boring project to do for the 6 weeks, because I wasn't trained enough for anything else.
My personal life has been sort of stressful the last few weeks, and my boss has been out with Covid, so I've basically just ghosted everyone else (WFH btw) during daily standups and such, and not done any work on the project. Problem is now my boss is trying to make contact and get status on my work, and I'm thinking of ways to get out of it and/or apologize on a personal basis – don't really care about the firm, but he's a great guy and I wanna be at least somewhat decent.
Any ideas on how to handle that?
