Give me UBI, or let me die.

Anything else is effectively slavery with the added choice of slave owner. In essence, nobody chooses to be born, and there are compassionate ways of letting people go if they no longer want to be here. Basically, it comes down to the simple question: “Does life hold unconditional value, however it is lived?” If so, give that life a UBI to continue living. Allow laziness, encourage contentment, stop shaming those who don't strive for more. If not, let the life go with dignity. Don't force them to work under threat of starvation and eviction. Controversial and drastic viewpoint, sure. But I believe it points the way toward the right direction. Look around the world and you see people partaking in the “great resignation” or “laying flat”. All these people want is to exist – so let them. Give everyone a UBI, or give them the option of euthanasia.
