Hi there. I live in Vancouver BC. I’m just curious if I give my two weeks notice mid week, can the employer cut my shifts for the rest of the week and cut my next weeks shifts if I’m already scheduled? From my knowledge if I give my notice and I am already scheduled I am to work those hours and if they wanted to let me go within that period then they would have to pay me out. But can they legally just leave me on the schedule and cut my hours or take away shifts that I am already scheduled for? Also if I have only been with the company for 5 months do I have to give two weeks or can a week notice be valid? And same situation if I were to give a week notice and have three shifts remaining in the second half of the week and three in the beginning half of the next can they remove those shifts that are already scheduled?
