In my place of employment, we have about 14 people. One of which is an on-site job and is not in the office. He is the only employee that actually does this job. He was out last week unable to eat or drink anything and keep it down. Our GM did the right thing and did the 5 appointments over 3 days that the guy had. Usually, we have 3 appointments per day which would have been 9 if we were booked. This morning the guy checked in to the ER because he still couldn't eat or drink after a week. My GM texts me and tells me “I'm not coming in until *on-site guy* comes in” leaving me and my fellow co-workers to pick up his tasks.
Come to find out he did not respond to my on-site guy for 3 days of him calling in and his response was “I can't keep doing your job” and now it's the only thing that I want to tell him in regards to me doing HIS job. He offered me a raise a few weeks ago and asked me to help him with some of his things and check him on stuff to make sure it's getting done as he is wanting to build something else up within the business but he never gave me specifics of what exactly he wanted me to look out for to help him with. Him ghosting us for the day doesn't make me want to help him at all.
