So 2 years ago at the height of the pandemic I got a job through a temp agency.
Wearing a mask was required, but I saw multiple people not following this rule. I brought it up to management, which didn’t lead anywhere and I started getting harassed by co workers for being a snitch (safety clearly wasn’t important to these people).
Eventually I had had enough and walked off the job and quit. When the temp agency found out they said I had burned their bridge and wouldn’t work with me further.
Cut to yesterday, I had applied to a new job which was through the same temp agency.
They called me, and they voiced their concerns about me walking off the job. I stated that it was a hostile work environment and I wasn’t going to apologize for what I did and if they were going to continue holding that against me after 2 years then we could end the conversation then.
They didn’t and contacted the company they were working with to set up an interview. Had the interview today and wound up getting it.
So much for that burning of bridges eh.
