Got sent home for saying “no”.

For clarification, I have always been the person they go to when they need coverage elsewhere, backup, pick up a shift, close when someone calls out, then close another department and come BACK to close this one as well, etc etc, so I have no track record of 'insubordination' or whatever they're probably going to write me up for. All that shit got me was a 30 cent raise and upper management who didn't GAF when I threatened to quit. Title, thought this sub would appreciate the story. So, I just put my two weeks in on Monday (5/9/2022), and I'm not scheduled past next Saturday (5/21/2022 duh lol). Today was my last shift in the department that I had been begging to be put in full time. I was supposed to close with one other person. At around 5:40, a manager comes up and asks if I (and I…

At around 5:40, a manager comes up and asks if I (and I s2g this ONLY happens to me at this particular location) could do something for another department. I tell him “No, I'm scheduled here, it's my last shift here. I'm in that department all week next week, and I don't want to be there.”

Him: Are you serious?
Me: Yes. I'm serious.

About ten minutes later, manager TWO comes up, pulls me into an office and says “You can't just say no to your boss. He asked you to do something.” blah blah blah etc etc I share my grievances, she knows why I'm quitting in the first place, and again I reiterate, I'm not doing it. she says “You can either do the thing, or you can go home.”
I say “Alright, then I'm leaving. Night.” and I go apologize to the person in my department (now closing ALONE ON A SATURDAY) because I felt horrible for bailing on her and only her, and she doesn't deserve it. Now I'm even debating if I should go back for my last week. I have something else lined up for the week after, and some time off would be fantastic, I haven't had more than 2 days off in a LONG time.

TLDR; upper management isn't happy I finally put my foot down and refused to be pulled around all night, debating on finishing out my 2 weeks. Fuck target.
