Got stomach bug, my boss; “we will be reaching out to discuss how to prevent this in the future”

Edit: minor context and spelling I've been with this company since their start up. I took on a management role when I didn't really want to to protect myself from their hiring shortcomings. I have worked weeks at a time, sometimes being called in at the absolute last second, because they wanted to push other people out of the schedule, or had to fire employees for behavior (that was in retaliation to my boss' actions) until I was their only worker for at least a month. I've been with this company since their start up. The only times I've missed work were due to severe weather that shut down transit, when I caught covid, and today, when I had a stomach bug.

I let them know 4+ hours before my shift started that I had been throwing up for at least 2 hours, and it did not look like it would improve any time soon. I also let them know I would reach out to our only other employee to ask if he could come in early to compensate me not being able to open. He wasn't able to come in until about 20 minutes before his shift would have started, and the store was closed for less than 3 hours as a result. I've just been informed that my bosses will be “reaching out to discuss how to prevent this in the future”.
