Got Suspended Asking for a Raise

Reviving a dead account to throwaway since I have coworkers on Reddit. Happened today, still processing it a bit I work in a sales based job. Last night I was talking my boss after everyone else had gone home, our pay structure is a flat amount paid per sale. I requested an adjustment to the pay structure (which hasn’t changed in pay in years) based on 2021 and 22 inevitably having a total inflation of 15%, maybe more by the end of the year, and mentioned to him that I basically took a 15% pay cut to do the same work. Got into a small argument with him about it, told it would never happen, and ultimately decided since it was a lost cause to just say fine, let’s move on and just keep going and doing business. He left the building for a while, probably for what comes next.…

Walk into work this morning, morning sales meeting. Starts off normal, before my boss’ boss launches into tearing at me for even thinking I’m not paid enough and sends me home, 1 week suspension. Might get fired. In front of a room of ~25 or more people

I literally got suspended and possibly fired for asking for a raise. Sucks since up until this point I actually really enjoyed the job.
Any recommendations?
