I had to post this here because I'm so angry.
I had a phone interview with a recruiter for a driving company that gives lessons.
The lady told me about the training process and that it lasted 6 months. I said fine, no problem. She was surprised by response and told me most people hang up on her. I was confused but ok.
Then she continued on saying it's a really great rewarding job blah blah blah… “Only caveat it, the boss doesn't pay you for the training until it's over because too many people quit on him before it's over.”
I was silent and then told her that's illegal and I'm not doing that. Her response?
“Oh, I'm sure he can make an exception for you I'm sure if that's what you want.”
Oh, and she told me the pay was four dollars less than advertised on indeed.
