The only problem is my current job is 100% remote. Been remote for nearly 2 years. It’s fantastic. The recruiter asked if I was ok making a commute again and I told him “I’m going to be honest with you, I make 60k a year. Fully remote. If you want me to drive into an office every day, you’re going to have to offer a lot more than 75k a year.” He said “ok, that makes a lot of sense.” Did the interview and made it to round 2. No news yet if they’re going to follow through, but it seems like they’re willing to play ball. Even at 60k a year I’m working part time as a pizza delivery driver AND just got a job as a dishwasher at another restaurant. 15k more a year is roughly 300 dollars more a paycheck. I know what I’m worth and I know what my time is worth. This sub helped me demand my worth.
