Had digital interview, emailed me to say job was cancelled then job was reposted two days later.

I reapplied for the reposted position and haven't heard anything from them regarding another interview. My question is why would they select me for a digital interview and then repost the same position after the position was cancelled and not have me start where we left off? Really wanted the job.
