I got myself interview ready this morning,dressed very nicely and wore my best watch and clothes. I arrive 10 minutes early (after my commuted to said business) to make a good impression just to be told my $2x/Hr position has been filled and offered a $9/Hr job instead. I immediately said “Shouldn't I have got a courtesy call about that?” The district manager said “It's out of my control”. So it was a complete waste of gas,time and energy. Nonetheless I walked out immediately and I don't know how businesses can keep getting away with these bait and switches.
Side note- This wasn't a job that was advertised “up to” $2x/hr, it had a set salary range with breakdown of how much it would be an hour ,It was a supervisory position.
