i got a PT job (grocery store) and they never sent me the job offer through my email. instead, they told me through mouth that i’m hired and told me to show up to orientation. when i asked about it, the hiring manager said they have a probationary 90 day period where they track your punctuality, your work progress and etc. i said “then what?” she said after, they give you PTO and sick time.
there was a long silence after bc i was so confused. she said it’s not temporary. they don’t hire temporarily.
am i dumb or is this not making sense ? i’ve had a lot of jobs and i’ve never not gotten a job offer via email after getting the job. am i thinking about it too hard ? i need stability so it’s bothering me lol.
