Help my hospital Unionize.

I just recently found the salary for everyone in my hospital from 2020. It's disgusting. We have nurses in our ER and skilled nursing facility that are taking care of covid, dying and elderly patients making minimum wage or slightly above. https://transparentcalifornia.com/salaries/2020/kern-valley-hospital-district/ I know of several people in the hospital that have worked for over 15 years and are making slightly above minimum wage. ​ The records on this site only go back to 2013 and it shows that cost of living and inflation raises have not been met. WE get 3 paid holidays. Thanksgiving Christmas and New Year. All other holidays are standard pay. what's worse is half of the hospital will close for the other holidays meaning the staff working is then left crippled and at lower capacity for help while not being compensated for the worse conditions. We have high turnover, and people burnt out who can't afford to quit. We get 7 hours of PTO per 2 weeks. This is combined with vacation and sick leave.

we just recently got the ability to go negative for PTO because of covid. we had a few people who had to take negative PTO because of covid because our hospital didn't have state covid leave for months after the new year.

I'm writing an email to our whole hospital and id like help. I'm using a throw-away email and account just to deter retaliation until the email is published.

At the moment I don't have a lot and it's mostly idioms. I'm also CCing our local newspaper as well

Do you believe this hospital rewards loyalty? It don't, we have people working with us that have worked 10+ years and are barely making above minimum wage.

We have nurses and phlebotomists that are dealing with covid, combative, and dying patients every day. We all hear when a code blue is happening. Someone is dying, and the people helping with that are some of the lowest-paid people in our Hospital.

Our skilled nursing department, the department that makes the most money for the hospital caring for our residents have people being paid minimum wage.

Minimum wage, The legal lowest you can be paid. Meaning if we could legally pay you less we would.
