Recently I got invited for an interview with Ethan Gomes the Senior Talent Partner – AMER/EMEA – G&A + GTM based in the USA for the CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE ASSOCIATE (BILINGUAL) – NETHERLANDS, paid 48000Eur per year with great benefits! No company in Europe pays that much for a job that easy.
The recruiter is a white Caucasian LGBTQ male. It went OK but I found it weird that I got rejected with my huge experience at my age, with no feedback at all, just a generic email and total silence even after I requested feedback.
I checked his socials and 99.9% of his thousands posts with pictures are with white Caucasian people, even his husband is white Caucasian. This dude doesn’t mix with non-white. How could this be possible in 2022? Is the recruiter for a multinational company a white supremacist?
When checking the public information available on LinkedIn I discovered that the new customer experience associate team that Discord created in the Netherlands is composed of German, French, Polish, Portuguese, all of them were white Caucasians, not representative at all with the demography of the Netherlands, not even one person of colour, I was baffled and that’s when I made the connection with my rejection.
Discord are looking for European Spanish (they discriminate LATAM Spanish speaker because European Spanish are racist against LATAM Spanish and don’t like to be assisted by them Discord is enforcing that discrimination).
They are also looking for a Turkish speaker. Do not expect this person named Ahmet or Aiyla. I can bet you that they will find a mixed white Turkish person that is born and raised in a white Caucasian country or a white Caucasian person who speaks Turkish fluently and he or she will have a white name and white skin.
Discord only wants to employ white Caucasian people to face their customers,. If you’re a non-white person and apply for a customer-facing position, they will invite you for 1 or 2 interviews to have nice statistics for their diversity report but they will never hire a non-white person. Zero diversity is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. This is 2022 and, sadly, inequality of opportunity, racism and discrimination are real at Discord but this is not the only company behaving this way in Amsterdam and in the Netherlands.
This is what legal protection minister Franc Weerwind had to say:
Less than 2% of positions in companies are held by people with a non-Dutch ethnic background,’ he told the annual meeting of the Inclusion Leaders Network. ‘Within the government, that figure is 1.7%
Discord only wants to employ white Caucasian people to face their customers, this is being allowed by the institutional racism of the Dutch government.
I will report Discord hiring discrimination at the Dutch anti discrimination board and they will face a hefty fine.
Thanks Senior Talent Partner – AMER/EMEA – G&A + GTM based in the USA for ruining my life, thanks for the depression, thanks for the suicidal thoughts, because of your hiring discrimination and due the inflations I can’t keep living in the Netherlands and will have to move to a much cheaper country outside EU to be able to live decently, when all the exclusively white people you have hired will be able to have a great life, like they were not privileged enough, thanks tor ruining my Dutch and European dream to have a nice life, I hope you enjoy your luxury life in the bay Area.
This has never been about skills but always has been about skin colour and race!
