Hiring manager was 20 minutes late to interview, was told I’m expected to long distance travel for near minimum wage.

I applied for a Medical Assistant position at a Dermatology office in my local city. During the phone screen, I asked all of my basic questions including pay rate and PTO. The pay was $16 an hour (but I was told it could be negotiated). I was invited to an in person interview, which I was excited for. I signed into Reception 5 minutes prior to my 9am interview. She asked for references, but I do not intend on proceeding further.

Fuck you for wasting my time getting dressed nice and getting there early only to be shit on.
