Found out the new hire makes 5 bucks more an hour. I just today brought in a 9k job because I got referred by name and quality of work. I did this job by myself the new hire while he's good he's didn't do 9k worth of commercial work in 5 hours I did. He told me while we were working what he made and I got furious. I was then punished for doing 8 hours worth of work really 16 if you factor it should take 2 men 8 hrs. And was then rewarded by getting forced to work late because I was off by 130 and they found shit they wanted done. I should have just got paid 8 no matter what. I'm pissed Monday I'm asking for 10$ more and I don't think thats ridiculous. I now realize they can't afford to lose me. I would realistically be okay with 5 more but we can decide. On my ride home I called 3 competing companies all have offered me a sit down meeting based on my work portfolio. Idk whats going to happen love my coworkers and my work but I'm done getting so little of what I bring in and what I'm worth.
