So I’ve been working in a machine shop for the past 8 months and today I reached my limit. I’m an operator, I run 3 machines and the saw on swing shift. Like a good employee I clean up and make sure everything is full of fluids, oil, cleaned up and ready for first. Today I reached my breaking point. I cleaned the saw shack and kept everything running last night and this afternoon my manager decided he would take it upon himself to ridicule me for cleaning up after the regular cut guy. It was the last straw. The nepotism, toxic work environment and obvious lack of general well-being of the employees is fucked. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna give them my today notice tomorrow. Fuck that place, I’ll go back to school if you’re gonna treat me like shit. End rant. Good luck folks, remember they need us more than we need them.
