Absolutely appalled. I work in retail at a department store. We’ve recently had hours cut and the bare minimum in staff. We were awarded some money for meeting a credit quota, and what does it get spent on? Snacks! Candy! Chick-fil-A! No matter we’re barely making enough to live, let’s have a few chicken sandwiches (with her preferences for fuck’s sake) and that’ll smooth everything over. $250 everyday for “associate appreciation”, meanwhile that’s about what a part time employee makes in a week. Fuck the system.
