I work 28 hrs a week because I have school on the days that I don’t work. I work three 8 hour shifts and one 3-4 hr shift. I was incredibly sick on one of the days that I had a short shift and my boss told me “to make it easier on me” he would take me off of the schedule for those days. I said, no that wouldn’t be very helpful, I am barley skimming by and I have had this schedule for about 6 month( I’ve worked there for a year now).
He said to me “if this place meant anything to you, you would show up” and “when I was your age I had to get a second job and that’s just how it is” and “we’re just looking out for labor” and all of this bullshit.
That same day I called in, another person called in with the same hours as me, just different times.
Why am I being punished? Why is it that when I have projectile shit spewing out of me that I need to come into work and if I don’t then I’m not a hard worker?
