How can I politely ask that I’m only willing to be promoted if paid accordingly?

I work in a small restaurant. Later today have a meeting with my boss, not sure what it is about but he keeps saying it is a good meeting for me. Everyone keeps saying he might promote me to manager since he is always commenting on my leadership skills. Thing is, I’ll probably still make the same amount in my current position, so why take on the added responsibility? But if the pay is good enough, I’d do it. So how can I politely say/ask this?
